Any news on HAML-support?

Hey folks,

are there any updates to the status of HAML-integration into aptana?

There was an available plugin here:

but as the author stated months ago:

I have actually given the code to Aptana. I am not sure what their progress is at this point sorry John

I googled / searched the aptana-forums and found this interesting Trac-entry for adding HAML-support to aptana:

The last comment by Chris Williams states:

It is indeed resolved. It will be in RadRails 1.1.0 release. Pro users can find it available now in the nightly builds.

Hmm, really?

I use Aptana Studio V.1.2. - this also means RadRails 1.2., right?

There is no HAML-Editor available by default, and i don't see anything corresponding to this issue under "Preferences" -> "Aptana" -> "Editors"

So what's the status on that?
Or am i missing something obvious?

Aptana Studio 1.2 ships with RadRails 1.1. Different products, different version numbers Have you had a chance to download the 1.2 RC to check for yourself the status of the integration?

ok, i see my error, i use indeed Rad Rails V.1.0.3.

Unfortunately, your website is a little bit confusing regarding the RC 1.2.
I used this link: http://www.aptana.com/studio/download/1.2RC
which quickly redirected me to http://www.aptana.com/studio/download

I downloaded the zip-file, extracted it and started aptana -> Aptana Version: Aptana Studio, build: 1.2.0.018852 , but Rad Rails Version is still 1.0.2?

So my guess is, i didn't download the right version?
But as far as i googled / searched your website, this is the only version which _can_ be downloaded?

I found some other website offering the RC, but only for Mac, no use for me since im on a linux-box.......

Furthermore i couldn't find any (current) downloads for RadRails alone, everything is linked back to the aptana-page, where it says "please install aptana studio, then RadRails via Plugin manager"

I really would appreciate some help / clarification on this issue, thanks....

You need to install Aptana Studio 1.2 (no more release candidate) and then install the RadRails plugin. After you install Studio, on the My Aptana page go to the Plugins tab and you'll see the link to get RadRails, or you can open the Plugins Manager view from Window -> Show View -> Other -> Plugins Manager.

unfortunately this doesn't work, to be more exact:

1."Help -> About Aptana Studion" says:

Aptana Studio, build: 1.2.0.018852

2. "Help -> Open my Aptana -> Plugins" says:

Aptana RadRails
Ruby on Rails support
This plugin is up to date

3. "window -> show view -> plugin manager" says:

Aptana RadRails 1.0.3.200807071913NGT

4. "Help -> Software updates -> Manage configuration -> Aptana RadRails -> Scan for updates" says:

"No updates found"

So IMHO i am using the right Aptana Studio Version but still can't update to RadRails V.1.1?

Is this some kind of bug or am i missing something?

RadRails 1.1 is still a few weeks from general availability but if you're still interested PM me and I'll see if I can get you a beta. Sorry for the delayed response.

Is there any update on the availability of Rad 1.1? I am in the same situation regarding HAML and the inclusion of an editor would do wonders for my productivity!

I see an optional HAML/SASS editors item in the latest update, but since the latest update is broken I'm left here wanting.
